A buyer agent discovers a Livepeer Agent media service, pays per call in USDC over the x402 payment protocol, and receives the media it bought. No accounts, no API keys, no invoices - every call settles on-chain.

The agent pays $0.05 in USDC from its own wallet. Generation runs on Livepeer Agent (seedream-5-lite, ~$0.037). The difference is service revenue.

How one call works

  1. DiscoverThe agent reads the service manifest - a machine-readable price list.
  2. 402It requests a generation. The paywall answers HTTP 402 with a USDC price.
  3. Sign & payThe agent signs a USDC payment authorization (EIP-3009) and retries with it.
  4. Deliver & settlePayment verified, Livepeer Agent renders, USDC settles on-chain. One receipt.

Where the revenue goes

Every payment above lands at the service address, then routes into an ERC-3643 compliant treasury: identity-gated, regulated tokenized yield behind agent commerce. Only verified identities hold the treasury token or claim yield.
